This agave is a very rare species that only exists in a small canyon in the municipality of Mascota, Jalisco. It has the widest leaves of all the agave species: a truly imposing plant. Its reproduction is exclusively sexual and takes approximately 15 years to mature, making its distribution very limited. The Raicilla Denomination of Origin (DO) has included it in its catalog of authorized agaves, which could put the species in danger of extinction. For this reason, 100% of the value of the distillate in this bottle will be donated to the reproduction of this beautiful maguey by both Casa Endemica and Fidencio Spirits.
